ROSE'S BIOGRAPHY
Rose Bonomo has been an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 1990, as well as an ACSM Certified Health/Fitness Instructor and a Nike Certified SAQI (Speed, Agility & Quickness Instructor). A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Hunter College's Human Movement Studies Program, she was the owner of Custom Fitness, a personal training studio in New York City specializing in innovative functional training programs. From 1988 to 1993, this studio, located in Manhattan's theater district, allowed many Broadway actors, jingle singers, musicians, models and executives to benefit from Rose's eclectic program design.

Since moving to Portland, Oregon, Rose has been involved in tennis-specific speed and conditioning for several years working with juniors, elite players, recreational players, seniors and pee-wees. In 1999 she began working with junior tennis players at The Academy in Portland, Oregon, as well as with Susie Campbell -Gross (Head Women's Tennis coach) and Aaron Gross (Men's Head Tennis coach) as Speed, Strength & Conditioning Coach for the University of Portland's men's and women's tennis teams.

Rose was a speaker at the 2000 NSCA National Conference in Orlando, Florida. Her session, "Getting Your Athletes Up to Speed: Functional Training for Speed & Agility" got everyone out of their seats to participate in the hands-on demonstrations.

2 new videos: Functional Strength Training for Tennis and Speed and Agility & Footwork for Tennis, contain the cumulative knowledge from many years of training and experience. The videos are designed to optimize progression, and each section has a training program that can be downloaded and printed from this Web site.
